Running , maps not working. Haven’t used the function since we updated to , but in and it worked flawlessly. Nothing shows up when I try to turn the map on, and if I try to pick from the choose location it says ‘maps not available’.
I’ve opened a file that I knew was working last time I used it and it is no longer working, so its not just the setup. This might be worth a try.
Do you still have or loaded on your computer? Or on another computer in the same office? Sometimes, rare but it happens, Bing is just not available.
When I open up the Geolocation works great. I have multiple drawings that I can open up in and the map shows up, however when I open up nothing PASF, feet. I locate using the site address, and when prompted to select a point for the location in my drawing, I specify 0,0, and draw some existing features based off of the aerial. Re-Open and the image is no longer referenced to 0,0.
So the image is appearing waaaay out in space. By my own admission, I’m just getting started with the GEO functions so there may be something in my workflow. I have been using the settings, units and zone, etc since Does not work for I still can’t get this to work, I just had to open today to do a map overview.
It works fine for everybody but you. If you really want to find out what’s wrong, post a drawing that “doesn’t work”. I don’t know what good that will do It doesn’t work in any drawing for If I open the same drawing in it works That tells you nothing of the sort. But your words tell me you’re not interested in a solution, so carry on with your rant.
I think it does tell you something and a rant is a bit extreme I do not have the time to spend an hour or two to strip the file down and make sure it doesn’t have the companies personal info or take the risk. I’m willing to wait for someone to have the same issue and post a solution. In the mean time I’ll just use I don’t have installed, but when I have a problem with the Maps in , I have to make sure the time in windows is set correctly and then it works fine. Our server is about 10 minutes off and it won’t work correctly since my computer is synced with it, change the time on my computer, works fine.
Checked this and the time is set correctly on my computer. Unfortunately, not the solution for me. Thank you for sharing. What worked for me, at least for now, was logging out then back in to A, even though it show’d me logged into A, had to do this several times and then it started working.
DP I’ll give that a shot. I know I have tried logging in once or twice with no success. Will try spamming the log in when I get a chance. Thanks for the post! We are having the exact same issue in my office.
The computers that are running , the geolocate function is working fine, every drawing we open. I can’t get it to work on ANY drawing in Good afternoon. Just wanted to let you know that my office is having the exact same issue. I can open a drawing in , the gelocate maps load perfect, no issues whatsoever.
I can open any of those same drawings in and the maps won’t load at all. I sign into Autodesk, same way I do in I agree with you, this is not a drawing problem but a software or setup issue. I also agree with you that you have not been on a “rant” in any way shape or form. Good luck, hopefully one of us will get some resolution with this issue. Good to know there are others experiencing the same issue.
